Fhufhani Logistics is owned and controlled by Fhufhani Aviation Solutions and Xitsavi Group. Fhufhani Aviation Solutions is an aviation holdings company that has interests in aircraft leasing, airport management and pilot training whilst Xitsavi Group is a holding company that was started by Themba Hlengani in 2013 and has interest in a number of industries including steel, mining and communications consulting.

Fhufhani Logistics (Pty) Ltd has ambitions to contribute to transformation in South Africa’s aviation industry by promoting aviation development and activity in the rural regions of the country. The inequalities that exist in the aviation industry are primarily as a result of an innate inaccessibility the majority of previously disadvantaged individuals have to aviation services and infrastructure. This inaccessibility is exacerbated for those who reside in rural South Africa thus making it highly unlikely that people living and working in the rural regions will either pursue a career path in aviation or participate in aviation development.

In line with the South African government’s goals which are expressed in the National Airports Development Plan, Fhufhani Logistics intends to contribute towards the development of aviation infrastructure in economically viable rural regions that already have existing, aging infrastructure that is grossly underutilised. In addition to the interest in aviation infrastructure, Fhufhani Logistics will create employment opportunities for individuals residing in the immediate rural areas and achieve the goal of stimulating fundamental transformation within the aviation industry.
